It’s become quite the tradition for myself and my partner to eat Thai on valentines, we’ve eaten all over the country, and this year, we happened to be taking a break in the New Forest, Thai Corner came highly recommended.

First off, service, from the second we walked in the door, the front of house team were superb. Attentive but not overbearing, friendly, humorous and efficient. We were seated and brought drinks and crackers swiftly, placed our order, and eagerly awaited the delights.

And delights they were! We had a mixed platter, but the star of the show were the Son in law eggs, I don’t want to say too much, but you simply have to try them, they were outstanding! My partner opted for Jungle Curry, which he said was so hot, he fell into a time warp (this is a good thing, he says). I opted for the pork and aubergine, with pad Thai and jasmine rice. 

Cannot praise this restaurant enough. Simply delicious, authentic food, obviously cooked with care and passion. If you find yourself in the New Forest, make a point of eating at this restaurant. Quite simply, superb

Lovely well presented Thai food, friendly attentive staff and reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere and well spaced tables giving plenty of room for a small restaurant

I've eaten in many Thai restaurants round the world, including plenty in Thailand. I'll say straight away without hesitation that Thai Corner is as good as anywhere. Simply superb, genuine perfectly cooked food.

The surroundings are comfortable but unpretentious, the welcome friendly and the service impeccable. They were, unsurprisingly, very busy the night I visited, but kindly fitted me into a corner. 

I had the sour and hot fisherman's soup followed by delicious duck with chilli and basil. Refreshing, hot, sweet and sour in perfect balance.

A brilliant meal and I can't wait to go back
